Applications opening July 2026

Thank you for your interest in Diné Summit Seekers.

​

Applications for the next cohort will open in July 2026. Spots are limited and participants are selected through an application process focused on community, leadership potential, and willingness to participate fully in the experience.

Eligibility

Applicants should:

  • Be a member of the Navajo Nation

  • Be between the ages of 12–30

  • Be interested in outdoor leadership and community experiences

  • Be willing to participate in group activities and shared learning experiences

  • Be available to attend the full festival weekend (Friday–Sunday)

Additional preference may be given to:

  • Participants under age 25

  • Applicants with little or no prior ice climbing experience

  • Applicants able to attend the entire program experience

​

No prior climbing experience is required!

Tips for Future Applicants

Strong applications often:​

  • Answer questions thoughtfully and completely

  • Share personal experiences and motivations honestly

  • Explain why the experience is meaningful to them

  • Reflect on community, culture, leadership, or outdoor experiences

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and participation

 

Again, you do not need prior climbing experience to apply!
